Overview
The SSCP Guide to our Thresholds of Need: Strengths-Based Safeguarding session aims to encourage participants to reflect upon their current safeguarding processes and develop knowledge specific to Sunderland. The session emphasizes internal and external support mechanisms, understanding Thresholds of Need document, and the importance of information sharing and professional curiosity. Participants will create a joint action plan to enhance confidence in safeguarding processes.

Who Should Attend?
- Group C - Senior and Middle Managers: Leadership and supervisory roles including Named and Designated Nurses, Head Teachers and Designated Safeguarding Leads (DSLs), Team Leaders, and Directors (Royal College of Nursing competence Level 4 and 5 equivalent).
*Group B – Practitioners could also attend if have responsibility for submitting referrals, work within agencies who review referrals at threshold (Early Help/Social Care) or who are stepping up in role with further safeguarding responsibility.
