Detail:

Practitioners who works within or closely with the children’s workforce in Sunderland are recommended to attend this training. You must have attended the SSCP Guide to our Thresholds of Need prior to booking.

Sessions are ½ day.

Aims of Training:

  • To outline the SSCP Neglect Screener
  • To support practitioners to understand the Early Help processes and pathways, relating to neglect
  • To improve professional responses to children who are experiencing neglect
  • To provide practical learning opportunities to use the Neglect Screener with a case study

Expected Outcomes of Training:

  • Understand what is meant by neglect and understand its impact on children
  • Consider thresholds for intervention
  • Have a shared understanding of neglect and how to use the screener
  • Have strengthened partnership working arrangements and relationships through shared experiences and discussion
